Lanterns in the Mist
Barrister Gustav Kaple has been appointed as the Beast’s defender. Gustav believes the Beast is guilty as well, but he feels honor-bound to give the creature the fairest trial possible. Unfortunately, when standing in front of the full courtroom, Gustav’s nervous stutter makes his speeches almost unintelligible. The party’s success in finding evidence in the Beast’s favor only slightly helps his performance, as he starts to worry about the public reaction should the defense prove too effective.
